Yellow Pages FAQ

Here is a list of the most commonly asked questions about Yellow Pages. If your question is not answered here, please contact us.

How do I use the reverse phone lookup?

The reverse phone number lookup works best when searching for land-line numbers and is a pure local search. The local search is set to a 50-mile radius so the address for that phone number you searched for should be within 50 miles of where you are searching or you can customize the city and state you are searching in. Please also use this format when entering phone numbers. Example: 8015551212 (write out all ten digits with no dashes, spaces or any other characters)

I just downloaded the latest update of this app and it won't find my location or load.

We are aware that this is occurring on a few devices. Please try following fixes in this order:

1) Delete the app, turn Location settings off on your phone, restart your phone, turn location settings back on, then go to www.YellowPagesReinvented.com to reinstall your app. If this doesn't work please try option 2 below.

2) Download the AirYell application. Downloading this app of ours is like going back to your previous version of Yellow Pages that was working on your device.

How do I change my location?

Yellow Pages provides business searches based on your current location. You can manually change the location by tapping the “Change Location” link above the search button and entering your city and state or just the zip code.

What are the buttons at the bottom of the screen?

The quick search buttons at the bottom of the screen provide the OneTap search functionality in Yellow Pages. By simply tapping these buttons, you will quickly be able to search for the most commonly searched terms for local businesses and services in your areas like Restaurants, Doctors, Auto Services, Pizza, and many others. The “More” button provides a more extensive list of quick searches.

Does Yellow Pages work outside the US?

Unfortunately, it is primarily for use in the US. We have received emails asking for international use, especially Canada. Currently, we can only support US use.

User Question- Do you have to be connected to the Internet to use Yellow Pages?

"In regard to the Yellow Pages app for the ipod touch, do you have to be connected to the internet to find numbers or is there a database that is on the device once you download it? For instance, if I'm in my car and there is no wifi service where I am, can I look up a number like I would in an actual phone book?" (submitted by Shelli)

Unfortunately, you must have a Wifi connection to use this app. Because there seems to be endless options involved with the Yellow Pages, the data must be sent over the Internet. If there was an included database in the app, it would probably fill your device's memory. The good news is with thousands to tens of thousands of large businesses offering free Wifi, you still have lots of opportunities to use this great resource.
